plaque accumulation

7 tips for healthy and beautiful teeth and gums

Not only can teeth help you speak and chew, but they can also make your appearance succeed or fail. Although aesthetics is important, the health of teeth and gums has received more attention.

Oral health is not only about the straightness of the teeth or the brightness of the smile. You will not forget your gums! Even if you don’t have tooth decay and you have the whitest pearl ribs in town, this doesn’t mean you won’t suffer from gum disease. Since it is usually painless, most people don’t know what’s wrong with their gums.

Gum disease starts when plaque accumulates below the gum line and along the gums. It can cause infections that damage the gums and bones, leading to gum disease and tooth decay. Dental plaque can also cause gum disease, which is the earliest stage of gum disease.

In recent years, researchers have found a link between periodontal disease and increased risk of heart disease. A study found that men with periodontitis have a 72% higher risk of periodontitis than men with healthy gums.

So, how to keep smiling in the next few years?

1. Eat “detergent” food

Teeth cleaning food is hard or brittle. At the last meal of the day, eating apples, raw carrots, popcorn, celery, cucumbers, etc. can almost brush your teeth. Therefore, when you are unable to brush your teeth after eating, please use these foods as the last food.

2. Drink water

Water can keep your digestive system healthy and moisturize your skin, but it can also keep your teeth clean. The more water you drink, the more bacteria you wash out of your mouth, which means less gum disease, fewer cavities, and fresher breath. It keeps your mouth hydrated

Saliva is 99% water, so drinking more water will ensure that your mouth produces enough saliva to protect your teeth. Your saliva will wash away the leftover food, help you swallow easily, and keep your teeth strong by washing your teeth with calcium, phosphate, and fluoride.

3. Brush with baking soda

It will remove stains and whiten teeth. It can be used as toothpaste or salt.

4. Carry tools with you

If you have suitable gadgets on hand, you will not use your teeth as tools, which will damage them. In fact, do not use your teeth as any other tool except for food.

5. Check your breathing

To see if your breathing is offensive, lick your palms and smell when wet. If you smell any smell, it’s time to drink sugar-free mints.

6. Don’t chew hard food

Chewing hard foods (such as hard candy or ice) can cause tiny cracks in the tooth enamel, which can cause severe cracks over time.

7. Eat yogurt every day

Teeth need enough calcium to stay strong. Many studies have found that regular consumption of yogurt can reduce the compounds that cause bad breath, such as hydrogen sulfide, thereby greatly reducing bad breath in the mouth. Some studies also show that the probiotics contained therein also help keep smelly bacteria away from the mouth.
